ECNU Xiping Bilingual School

ECNU Xiping Bilingual School is a 15-year K12 school invested by Xiamen Hengxing Group and founded in cooperation with East China Normal University, born of the common belief, understanding and sense of mission shared by the two to cultivate talents with a sense of patriotism and international vision. Our mission is to "create a good life, hold up the hope of China, educate the backbone of the nation, and build a wonderful world". Our goal is to build a future-oriented and exemplary bilingual school in China.

ROLEDS Smart building landscape solutions helps ECNU Xiping Bilingual School to carry knowledge with light and illuminate the children's growth path.

Design ideas

Relying on East China Normal University, a national highland for the training of basic education talents, the school will benchmark itself against national quality educational resources and provide a personalized platform for children's growth, striving to add a more diverse and distinctive educational model to Xiamen’s education.

The design is based on the four dimensions of "heritage", "leadership", "vitality and diversity" and "calmness and relaxation", emphasizing the harmony between humanistic sentiments and campus life, providing maximum comfort for students while using light as a guide to appreciate the unique cultural heritage of the school.

Smart light solutions

The lighting highlights the architectural style of the combination of sea culture and traditional culture, highlighting the cultural weight of the campus and the sense of heritage, forming a modern and traditional, dignified and lively architectural image.

Multiple modes of energy saving

Different modes are set for different buildings, such as weekday mode and late night mode, taking into account the need for energy consumption and effect presentation of the lighting.

On the premise of not damaging the original image of the building, small and concealed products are selected in combination with the riser lighting to ensure uniform illumination and harmony with the surrounding environment, achieving the effect of seeing light without lights. The secondary glare control of the luminaires is also carried out through grilles and baffles to reduce the impact of glare on people.

At night the school is both modern and bookish, the outline of the building is illuminated, combining functionality with artistry, and the lights add vitality to the school, mixed with the sound of children laughing and reading.

ROLEDS is proud to work with Xiamen Hengxing Group and Xiamen Songhuo Lighting Technology Co., Ltd. to light up the school, enhance the cultural value of the building, highlight the architectural taste and create a comfortable learning and living environment for the students.
