Yu Garden with a history of more than 400 years is changing quietly. Now Yu Garden is a popular place to visit in in Shanghai and a name card to the world. 

In recent years, Yu Garden has hosted former International Olympic Committee President Jacques Rogge, former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger and other dignitaries, etc.

The Yu Garden was first built in the Ming Dynasty, It has a history of more than 400 years, It is the Sichuan political envoy Pan Yunduan built to serve his father Pan En. In 1982, it was listed as a national key cultural relics protection unit by The State Council. 

In 2019, Roleds is honored to participate in the lighting project of Shanghai Yu Garden, sketching the elegance of the bridge and the pavilion of the lake with colorful light and shadow.

In 2020, Yu Garden established the new positioning of business circle based on China-fashion.

Under the background of retaining the traditional classics, Tianyu Building adds more new content, new mode and new experience.

With the goal of building a new landmark of Oriental aesthetics, ROLEDS, SHANGHAI PINKO LIGHTING DESIGN and Shanghai Xinju Mechanical and Electrical Equipment Co., Ltd. jointly lit up Shanghai Yu Garden.

Design

The exquisite design of Yu Garden reflects the style of southern garden architecture in the Ming and Qing dynasties. It is a bright pearl in the classical gardens. 

The layout of the park is beautiful with "curves". The Jiuqu bridge has nine curves and eighteen bends, and each bend is carved with a lotus flower. Crossing the Jiuqu bridge, we will come to the pavilion in the middle of the lake, known as "the first teahouse on the sea". Under the light and shadow makeup points, visitors are relaxed and happy.

Smart lighting solutions

The Tianyu building project is the intersection of Fangbin Middle Road, old Campus Road, Yuyuan Plot,  Ninghui Pavilion is the first best place for state leaders to receive foreign guests overlooking the Yu Garden. Now Tianyu Building is a commercial functional building.

The project aims to achieve the new China-fashion landmark, combined with the quality positioning of the project, to create a warm atmosphere tone, reflecting the unique delicate and small bourgeois sentiment of Shanghai.

ROLEDS Martix Flood Light series has won a number of invention patents and international design awards. Use the tile structure of the building to make the ultra-small size light to hide the light source, so that the light from the interior of the building, through the whole.

 The "monochrome light" of the colorful world fits the "China-fashion" positioning, and the light color is bright and harmonious, presenting a smooth and clever light and shadow effect. When the night rises, the Ming and Qing Dynasties style pavilions and the surrounding commercial atmosphere integration, let people feel the heritage of the Jiangnan water town at the same time.
