New 18 ladder reappears the cultural tourism economic night vitality

In 2021, after five years of absence, Chongqing 18 stairs will be presented to the public with a new style. As one of the important smart city lighting solutions providers for the project, ROLEDS is honored to participate in this significant project

The lighting effect like oil painting has become the new coordinate of Chongqing mountain city, detonating the economic night vitality.

As the birthplace of the city, Eighteen ladder has been as famous as the city for 800 years. It has witnessed the rise of the history of Chongqing and left many popular cultural stories

After five years of building, the new image of the traditional style area combines with new night tour and new forms of boutique tourism projects, bringing the tourism experience to Chongqing citizens and tourists across the country, and boosting the development of Chongqing's smart cultural tourism industry.

design

The night view lighting design of the project is based on the restoration of the classic stilted building form of 18 ladders and its own rich facade elevation difference level, based on the well life of Chongqing, and interprets the past of the old Chongqing people and the memory of the mother city with lights.

Mountain and water

Through the lights of the top and central axis of the building, the pattern of mountains and water, deduce the bright lights of thousands of homes.

The stilted buildings form a rich skyline and elevation hierarchy relationship of 18 ladders.  the starry night scene effect of the stilted building community is formed through the flash of lights on the top and the central axis of the building.

City and village

Starting from the eighteen stairs, pass through the lower half of the city to the upper half. Through the overall control of the facade lighting of the building, the light and light, telling the continuation of the city and village.

The lights pass through the whole 18 ladder buildings, and the temperature is gradually changes, such as the night rain, and the sudden cold. This is the story of the night rain in Bashan.

Ladder and tablet

Repeat the past of the 18 ladders through the lighting device, and wake up the hometown in the deep memory. The combination of color and building facade presents a characteristic luster of style like oil painting, presenting rich and delicate colors and scene atmosphere.

Smart City lighting solutions

After technical analysis and light environment requirements, ROLEDS smart flood light and wall washer light integrate light effect and artistic color, using RGB + L four-color light source, showing more than 16 million kinds of mixed light colors.   

Through the contrast of temperature and temperature in the intelligent control system, the natural color sets off the architectural atmosphere and reproduces the life of old Chongqing citizens and the memory of the mother city.

Through the lights on the top and central axis of the building, the architectural complex is cleverly transformed from the grand and profound in the day to the bright lights at night, highlighting the traditional streets and alleys and the rich urban texture, and achieving the effect of day and night.

Considering the diversity of the architectural style of the 18th ladder, the inconsistency of the facade material and the visual concealment of the lamps, we overcame the color temperature difference caused by the inconsistency of the lighting appearance color system and the intelligent control of the light color after repeated debugging, and finally achieved a satisfactory effect.

The lighting is concentrated on the walls, tops and eaves, creating a progressive three-dimensional visual sense, highlighting the 3D urban attributes of Chongqing, showing the pattern of connecting mountains and water, and simulating the living state of the lights of 18 ladders in memory.

Light up the 18 ladders

Based on the traditional culture of Bayu, Eighteen Ladder brings the unique experience of old Chongqing, real mountain city and new life to the people through transformation and upgrading. After the reconstruction, Eighteen Ladder has become the appearance level of the mountain city, blooming the bright Bayu culture and the broad and profound Chinese culture.

Under the night, the 18 ladders have bright light and shadow, like a scene in the city， the  city in the dream , restores the different way of life of Chongqing for the world.

Today, the 18 ledder of traditional features areas have diversified vitality, and the development of cultural night economy has been greatly improved.
