In 2022, ROLEDS is honored to participate in the Hangzhou Xixi Road Renovation and Upgrading Project with the Environmental Art Branch of Zhejiang University Architectural Design and Research Institute, promoting Chinese culture through smart lighting , and jointly depicting  the ancient and modern, traditional and modern organic symbiosis of Xixi landscape painting scroll.

Hangzhou Xixi Road

Xixi Rode is with a history of nearly 800 years, Xixi Road, which integrates nature and humanities, history and modernity. In the past, it was a royal road , but now it is a high-tech place for scientific and technological innovation and industrial development. 

Hangzhou Xixi Road is backed by the mountains of West Lake and faces the Xixi Wetland. It is an important link connecting Hangzhou's West Lake and Xixi Wetland. The purpose of the project enhancement is to create the most beautiful welcome avenue, showing the unique charm, wisdom and wonderful night view of Xixi Road.

Xixi Road runs from Wantang Road in the east to Huajiang Road in the west, with a total length of about 4.7 kilometers. Combined with its strategic location and 800 years of history, ROLEDS creates a mesmerizing view under the moon through the overall planning of the lighting environment.

Smart lighting products and modern lighting technology organically connect the landscape, architecture, greenery and mountain scenery along the route, allowing citizens to feel the visual experience and happy mood of melting mountains and scenery.

As one of the historical and cultural carriers along Xixi Road, Lao and Yunqi are lit up in the quiet night. The uniform and transparent light and color and the misty effect of mountain mist add surprise and romance for visitors to come to nature.

Zhejiang University Science and Technology Park and Zhejiang Merchants Venture Capital respectively fall in the mountains and forests, and the mountains and ridges are organically integrated with modern buildings, forming an ecological landscape of a city and nature.

The light clever falls into, make the whole space produced the emotional change, silent at the same time jumping a little surprise, bring the relaxed feeling of returning to the mountains for the tense and busy city night return person.

Along the auxiliary road and building wall, immersive to create 24 scenes of Xixi, enjoy the Jiangnan style and the cultural story of Xixi.

At the same time, with the help of intelligent lighting control, we create the two scene mode of winter and summer.  Rhythmic lighting effects and gradations of color temperature are in harmony with the passing vehicles.

Xixi Road at night is like a golden ribbon, where key platforms such as Ant Group, MYbank, Zhejiang Venture Capital, and Proya are rooted, and the industrial style of "finance + technology" has flourished here.

The transformation of Xixi Road seems to tell the changes of the times and cultural development, and also tells the infinite potential of Xixi in the future.
