Canal Sports Park Gymnasium

Set for the table tennis competitions of the 19th Asian Games, Canal Sports Park Gymnasium is more than just a sports arena. Here, sport and culture intertwine as the design of the gymnasium pays homage to the graceful contour of the Jade Cong, an ancient Chinese jade artifact synonymous with the Liangzhu culture of Hangzhou. With its exquisite ornamentation and storied past, the Jade Cong has captivated enthusiasts for centuries. The façade presents a dynamic fish scale pattern, where the metal curtain wall and the diamond-shaped glass scale curtain wall reflect each other.

Situated amidst a river, the irregular oval-shaped gymnasium harmonizes with the landscape, blending culture, nature, and sport into a captivating union. Meticulously designed lighting illuminates the gymnasium’s details, capturing the essence of the Jade Cong. ROLEDS high-quality smart lighting products, featuring precise light control and uniform light color, brought out the venue’s soft, elegant artistic characteristics.

Canal Sports Park Stadium

Set for hockey events during the 19th Asian Games, the Canal Sports Park Stadium is more than just a sports arena. This stadium’s roof, a light and elegant long-span structure, is reminiscent of the traditional Jiangnan oil-paper umbrella, a cherished Han Chinese handicraft, historically essential in Hangzhou due to the region’s frequent rainfall and abundant bamboo forests. ROLEDS is proud to contribute to the brilliance of this architecturally significant stadium, rich in history, culture, and art.
